Temperance - 14
This card is not referring to the abstince from drink, but rather to the tempering of opposing forces. She pours from one cup to the other, or one could see her holding two opposite polarities, with energy flowing betwixt them. This card is also called Art.
The Devil - 15
Representative of our emotions or subconscious. The devil made me do it usual means that we somehow lost control. The two figures below are enslaved, because they have not learned to detach themselves from their emotions. They are addicted to feeling. Emotions are wonderful, unless they are allowed to have total dominion over us. Again, it is a matter of balance.
