Hello, my name is Robin, and these are my thoughts - my eggs if you will. Welcome to my humble site. There are many, many Tarot references available these days. The references and decks to the right are but some small samples I found in a quick search of the internet. At least, these are the ones I found useful and non-commercial.
I launch this latest incarnation of my Tarot site on the eve of Samhain, 2000. A time of beginnings as well as endings. I discovered the Tarot, (or it found me), around this time in 1982. I went to my first circle at this time in 1991. So this is a good time to begin a new effort.
But why put the effort in when there is so much information out there already? I hope to be heard by at least a few above the din and roar of the internet. I feel my particular view of the Tarot has merit, as does yours. The internet is a wonderful revolution in thought and relating to our fellow seekers.
I have tried to make a quiet, simple place where either a new person, or experienced person, can take a breath and gather some hints about the Tarot. It is my hope you leave this site with more questions than answers. That is why I try to refrain from absolute statements about what a card means. What it means to me is not necessarily what it means to you. Different experiences breed different perceptions, all valid in their own way. The Tarot is not so much about divination, about finding love, money and success, as it is a mirror. A mirror to help you see inside yourself, and journey on those paths through your soul. You will find terror, fear, love and healing, if you seek it.
So read the words if you will. Enjoy them as they are intended, a gift. Ignore them if they bring you vexation. You are always free to click away. Take some time to just quietly look at the images, whether you use my pictures, or your own deck. Think of what they mean to you. Enjoy your own Fool's Journey.
